Yr 8 Semi Final At Sedgehill School

Good Luck to the Year 8 Football team on Thursday who face rivals Forest Hill on the new school pitch. Your support would be appreciated.

Yr 9 Football: Sedgehill 4-4 St Michael and All Angels

A dramatic late comeback saw the Year 9 team reverse a three goal defecit to draw 4-4 with a St Michael's team containing several Year 10 players. Hojay Simpson made a solid debut but the the first half saw St Michael's take a 3-0 lead which could have been bigger if it wasn't for defenders Taric Orhan, Mahmoud Eismaell and Chumek Anumnne. A number of changers were made in the second half. Javen Palmer  linked up well with Devante Satchell and DJ Johnson. Terron Powell and Jawan Sakil also worked hard in midfield. A controversial Mario Xavier penalty in the last minute clinched a last minute draw.

The final against St Matthew's Academy was a closely knit affair and went down to the final rubbers involving Eric Smith, who was victrious and O.J Budak (playing against an opponent two years older than himself) who narrowly lost his game. Lewisham Junior Basketball Competition

The Sedgehill U14 basketball team were in action on Friday night and were victorious in both of their league games.

Game 1: Sedgehill 6-4 Prendergast

Prendergast started strongly but  it was Zach, with a 2 pointer to help us equalize after conceding a basket. Predergast then found a gap in our defence to gain a 4-2 lead, but Nathan came back to help us equalize in a similar fashion to Zach. Then, in the closing seconds of the game, Jeanlouis dummied a Crofton player, enabling Dwayne to pass to Kalifa. And it was Kalifa, inside the key that scored that scored the winning basket, helping us to win 6-4. GO SEDGEHILL!!!!!!!!!!!

Game 2: Sedgehill 2-0 Catford High

There was only 1 basket, but 1 basket was all we needed. It was Nathan straight after the half time interval on a wonder run, all the way from the halfway line, straight into key, and a simple finish. And that made it.2-0. And that how it remained  until the final whistle despite about 12 consecutive shots. But it made no difference. It was Sedgehills second win. SEDGEHILL!!!!!!!!!
