Sedgehill 4-4 St Michael and All Angels

A dramatic late comeback saw the Year 9 team reverse a three goal defecit to draw 4-4 with a St Michael's team containing several Year 10 players. Hojay Simpson made a solid debut but the the first half saw St Michael's take a 3-0 lead which could have been bigger if it wasn't for defenders Taric Orhan, Mahmoud Eismaell and Chumek Anumnne. A number of changers were made in the second half. Javen Palmer linked up well with Devante Satchell and DJ Johnson. Terron Powell and Jawan Sakil also worked hard in midfield. A controversial Mario Xavier penalty in the last minute clinched a last minute draw.

All 70 minutes were filled with action from end to end. It all started with a great counter attack from Catford High which lead to the opening goal. Catford's Bruce took a shot which forced a wonderful save from the Sedgehill goalkeeper Glen Giles but it was followed up by Abbie to make it 1-0. Play then calmed down for a bit and the passing came out when Abbie caught the keeper off his line and lobbed him from about 25 yards, a fantastic strike to make it 2-0. Sedgehill started making a comeback with a goal by Devante Satchell and notable contributions from Ali Suliman and Dennis Agbudume but Catford quickly responded after the referee pointed to the spot for a Catford penalty. Shiloh grabbed it with both hands and sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 3-1. Abbie closed up the match and completed his hat-trick to make it 4-1.
